FAS need more assemblers!

Furniture Assembly Services was formed just under two years ago.  Right from the start the company was able to call on a contract assembly team of more than 120 people, each with an average of 10 years of experience and some with around 20 years.

Most of that team and those presently working with FAS are retired or semi-retired men with a history in cabinet making, carpentry, shop fitting or just extensive DIY experience.  All of them are self-employed sub-contractors carrying out work on behalf of FAS Ltd, often just to give themselves a supplementary income.

Those assemblers have enabled FAS Ltd to grow from nothing to a very significant force in the market.  The trend of growth enables us to predict a doubling of our business in the next 12 to 18 months, particularly as we win big contracts from Furniture Manufacturers and Retailers, to become their preferred source of assembly services.  Organic growth and repeat business from satisfied customers will also be a big contributor to our future.

Diversification is also a way in which we see ourselves growing rapidly.  We have found significant business in assembling childrens’ outdoor play furniture, weight training equipment and patio furniture.

All this growth means that we need more sub-contract assemblers to carry on the good work.  Since we cover the whole of Great Britain, the number of jobs each assembler gets will not keep you in full time work, however, dependent on where you live, there will be quite a few jobs available, particularly if you are prepared to travel up to 30 miles or so from home.  We do give a generous allowance for people who travel more than a 40 mile round trip.

Wherever in Great Britain you live and particularly in Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Shropshire, Devon, Cornwall, Cumbria, Yorkshire, Perth & Kinross, Dumfries and Galloway, we would be very grateful to be able to use your services.  We pay more on average than our competitors, particularly if we do have to ask you to travel a little further.

If you think your skills and experience are relevant and wish to have a little part-time income, we ask you to send as much information as you can about yourself to info@furniture-assembly.org.uk or to telephone us on 07587 693048 or 07843 228359.
